Practical help and support groups

Support – peer support & specialist nurse helpline, peer-support groups, educational events, information resources (written, online, videos, podcasts), dedicated psychotherapy & counselling service, online community forum and a travel welfare grant (available to support access to specialist diagnostics & treatment). Advocacy/Awareness - raising awareness activities, policy work, assessing and addressing unmet needs, HTA appraisals, PIP support, and signposting to aligned support services, e.g. benefits advice. Education – for patients, their family & friends and Healthcare Professionals. Research – annual research grant alongside undertaking patient experience and epidemiological studies.
